Thorough yet concise, written from the heart of HK by Tim Youngs, with many well-written reviews of recent films (invaluable when deciding whether to buy the DVD). Plenty of DVD reviews are also provided. Click through the multitude of links, and be sure to take a look at the 'Extras' section, which features beautiful lobby cards and photos of handpainted HK billboards.

Canton Kid
Great site, also written from the heart of HK, by Paul Fox (frequent contributor of reviews to HKMDB), with well-written reviews of recent films (most as they are seen in the local cinema). Updated frequently.

Mobius' Home Video Forum
Excellent forum for discussing wide variety of films. Very active with knowledgeable and civil participants. Newly-released HK films are often reviewed in "Asian Cinema Discussion." Updated very frequently.

Hong Kong Cinema: View From the Brooklyn Bridge
More than 700 informative reviews - quite a few with DVD details, nearly all with vidcaps. Check out the literary sources and film recommendations sections, as well as the incredibly useful 'HK Actors Index' (with photos and bios), the 'HK Cinema Timeline,' and 'Pictures of the Stars.' Love and Bullets

Kung Fu Cult Cinema

City on Fire
Multiple highly opinionated (and often hilarious) reviews from a variety of critics are helpful when considering the merits of individual films. Dragons Den UK
